We'll post more pictures later, but just had to get this first one up and running.

Lucky He's So Cute

Jude had his first babysitter Friday night so that Mommy and Daddy could go to dinner and to a friend's birthday party. After they were gone for an hour and 45 minutes, the babysitter (a 25 year old registered nurse) called to tell us to come home. He hadn't stopped screaming the whole time we'd been gone. He was calm when we got home. The babysitter said that he had reaffirmed her decision not to have children, that he screamed like the devil, and that we should not call her until he was a little older and also had gotten over his reflux. :) Nice work Jude.

To show both sides, he laughed his first real laugh after we got home.

Thanksgiving

Jude got to spend Thanksgiving with the Koertners. He met his aunts, uncle, and cousins, and got to see Grandma and Grandad Koertner.

First Restaurant Trip

Jude went out to eat for the first time. As you can see from the pictures, he wasn't as impressed as you might imagine. Jude slept through the whole trip, and Mommy and Daddy had a great breakfast.

In November, Jude has been lucky enough to have lots of visitors! We have loved getting to see our friends and family and watching them get to know our little guy.

Tammie Harris came and stayed with us this week. She watched Jude all day Thursday and Friday while we went to work.
















Aunt Christy and Uncle Kevin were here last weekend. We had lots of fun with them.















Howard and Mo spent the evening with us.















Kelly Rhone drove from Lincoln to spend the day with our boy.

Last week Jude started smiling! We don't have any pictures yet, because the smiles are so fleeting. We're working on this and on getting some video onto this site.

Making Weight

We were worried for a bit about whether or not our boy was gaining weight properly.
As you can see from the belly below. There was no need for worry.

Barack the Vote

Jude is a little angry about the current state of affairs in the U.S.
He encourages all of his friends to get out and vote.

Halloween

We had a nice Halloween at home. Jude tolerated his costume and the subsequent photo shoot!

First Walk

On October 18, Jude went for his first walk. He slept through the whole thing, but his mommy and daddy enjoyed taking him out and about.

Home at last

Jude spent this week home from the hospital. He had a little trouble transitioning into life at home, but now is doing just great! Grandma and Grandad Koertner were here for a visit and so were Nana and Papa. We have had a great week and are getting our rhythm down.

First Bath

Here I am just after my very first bath.  Even though all of the nurses said I would cry a lot, I was very peaceful and just interested in what was going on.  They spent a lot of time and got all of my hair clean - including all of the hair on my back, arms, and legs!  =)

First Post

Jude Patrick was born on Sep 30, 2008, at 6:14 AM.  He weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and was 19 inches long.  He is absolutely beautiful!
